Publication of MNM during the summer
Contributed by Peter Roberts

Ref.: 9907art06

Last week on Monday we held a meeting at Turku, Finland to review the progress and planning for the development of the various IFRF NET services.

We concluded that whilst the Monday Night Mail, published both on the web and by "ezine", is considered to be successful, it is becoming too long, at least for the emailed version, and is issued too frequently. Here at the Communications Center, we also have the impression from other feedback that the weekly editions are becoming too long.

So at least for the summer period, we will cut back on length and try to maintain the communication of essential information. As to the frequency of publication, we will consider bi-weekly publication as an alternative.

Initially we will discontinue the "World Energy News" section and explore the alternative of direct links with the news sources. In that way we could include the Headlines in the MNM with links to the full story via the web only. We update you next week.
