Meeting Updates From the Communications Centre Contributed by Theo van der Meer Twente, NL, 12th July 2001 - Ref.: 0107art11
COMBURA 10 October 2001, Jaarbeurs Utrecht, The Netherlands COMBURA is a joint initiative of the Technology Foundation STW (Platform Schone en Zuinige Verbranding), the NVV (Nederlandse Vlam Vereniging) and the Dutch section of the Combustion Institute. At the symposium attention is focussed both on university research and on industrial applications. The symposium replaces the yearly STW symposium, the two yearly Dutch Flame Day and the autumn meeting of the Dutch section of the Combustion Institute. This means that the symposium will be a meeting place for all people from the Netherlands involved in combustion research and application of new combustion technologies. The programme of the symposium is of interest to all of you. The technical and political discussion on the topics of NOx- and CO2-emission is very important, especially in this time of large economic growth. It is evident that new combustion technologies are needed in order to fulfil future demands. In the programme of the symposium new concepts and technologies are emphasized. In two plenar keynote lectures recent advances and future prospects of biomass and hydrogen will be highlighted. In parallel sessions contributions will be given on fundamental research from university groups and applications from Dutch industry. On “work in progress” posters with very recent and new research results will be presented. STW, NVV and Combustion Institute expect that this yearly symposium will be the symposium that cannot be missed. We hope to welcome you and your collegues on 10 October 2001 in the Beatrix gebouw of the Jaarbeurs Utrecht, in The Netherlands. CALL FOR POSTERS ‘Work in progress’ will be presented during a poster session.
