This week in Lyngby Denmark we are holding:

The Copenhagen Session - 26th to 28th June 2000
Host: Technical University of Denmark

    "The Ash TOTeM"

  • TOTeM16 - Evening of 27th June - Technical Session - 28th June
    "Toxic Metals and Fine Particles from Combustion."
    Chairman: Jost Wendt - University of Arizona

Following our registrations, we expect a good interactive meeting leading to a set of useful conclusions for our new Members Service to be inaugurated during the summer - Combustion Trends for the Future. We will give our first impression in the MNM next week.

The location of the TOTeMs is incredible:

Accommodation is available at the castle "Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay", which is situated on the western outskirts of Paris, the Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay offers elegant accommodation and dining within the walls and ruins of a dramatic 12th-century abbey in a magnificent setting.

We recommend you to look at the invited experts presentation programme and to add your views on these essential subjects by proposing a poster presentation. In any event do not hesitate to participate and to take joint advantage of an excellent technical programme and a potentially delightful cultural experience. For more details go to:

Our Host - Air Liquide - has issued the following invitation through TOTeM17 Chairman, Jacques Dugué.

Invitation to visit the AIR LIQUIDE CLAUDE-DELORME Research Center

Prior to the TOTeM17 Meeting, AIR LIQUIDE is offering the opportunity to visit its CLAUDE - DELORME Research Center on the Afternoon of Monday September 25th. The participants are invited to arrive at the Claude-Delorme Research Center at 2:00 pm.

The visit will include a presentation of AIR LIQUIDE R&D resources and activities in the fields of Combustion, Metallurgy, Mathematical Modeling and Process control.

Following the visit, a bus will take the participants to the "Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay" (leaving the Research Center at 5:30 pm).

For accommodation reasons, a maximum of 45 people can be accepted for this visit.

The participants interested to attend the visit should fax or e-mail the completed registration form to AIR LIQUIDE, preferably no later than 23rd August 2000. Non-French visitors should also fill in the Facility Admission Request. On receipt of the registration form, confirmations will be sent by AIR LIQUIDE. We strongly recommend that you take advantage of this invitation as a prelude to the "Paris TOTeMs".

Readers should please note that TOTeMs - Topic Oriented Technical Meetings - for part of the IFRF Members Service - Combustion Trends for the Future, and is open to representatives of IFRF Member Organisations only or occasionally to non-members who are in the final stages of Membership application.
